We designed a comprehensive AI governance framework for FLACSO Ecuador, enabling responsible integration of AI across academic and administrative activities. Built on four practical functions—mapping, measuring, managing, and training—it empowers every member of the university community to engage with AI ethically.

A real-time volcanic monitoring system developed with IG-EPN and ModeMat, classifying volcanic activity from thermal camera images using a multi-branch CNN architecture. The system achieves 98.86% accuracy in detecting emission events under variable atmospheric conditions.

We built Kami, a personalized AI financial assistant for the Ecuadorian context, combining LLMs with a specialized knowledge base. At its core is the K-Score—a financial wellbeing index that personalizes advice based on each user's financial reality, emotional relationship with money, and habits.
